Applications for the American Farm Bureau Federation’s County Activities of Excellence (or CAE) program are being accepted through Sept. 1.
All applications must be submitted online. County Farm Bureaus wishing to enter can access award information, applications and the CAE archives from AFBF’s website.
The awards program celebrates unique, volunteer-driven programming at the local level. County activities are organized into the following areas: education and ag promotion, member services, public relations and information, leadership development and policy implementation.
Up to 24 of the top county Farm Bureau activities in the nation will be showcased at the AFBF Annual Convention and IDEAg Trade Show, Jan. 5-10 in Nashville, Tennessee. Winners will receive free registrations to the Annual Convention (cost of travel and housing not included) and a $2,250 stipend to apply toward the cost of travel and exhibition.
Each county Farm Bureau that wishes to apply must create a unique user account on the application website, and that account must be associated with a unique email for each county Farm Bureau that applies. For multi-county applications, choose one county to set up as the application user.
Once the Sept. 1 application deadline is past, state CAE coordinators will be notified of applications from their state. Winners will be announced no later than Oct. 16.
