Indiana Farm Bureau is offering a two-day interactive campaign school for both veteran office holders and first-time campaigners as well as anyone interested in how political and issue campaigns are organized and implemented.
Scheduled for Sept. 12 and 13 at the INFB home office in Indianapolis, attendees will receive hands-on, interactive instruction on messaging, media interviews, budgets, organization and strategy.
“Campaign school offers a unique experience taught by instructors who have either ran for public office or have worked on local, state and federal campaigns,” said Bob White, INFB director, national government relations and campaign school organizer.
The fee to attend the campaign school is $250 for Farm Bureau members and $300 for non-members. Campaign managers may accompany a candidate for an additional $150, and campaign spouses may attend for $100.
The fee includes meals, breaks and materials. Attendees are responsible for their own lodging. Discount lodging is available at The Hampton Inn Downtown Indianapolis by calling 317-261-1200 and asking for the Indiana Farm Bureau discount.
The seminar is limited to the first 30 people to sign up, including spouses and campaign managers. A maximum of three people per campaign team may attend. Registration is available online. For more information, contact Diane Miller, 317-692-7834.
