(Indianapolis) – August 24, 2017 – Indiana Farm Bureau hosted its annual Drainage School, a seminar focused on Indiana drainage issues, at the INFB headquarters on Wednesday. Attendees included Hoosier farmers, public officials, agency personnel, attorneys and interested members of the public.
The seminar promotes an understanding of the laws and regulations that control drainage to help attendees better understand the laws impacting drainage decisions. This year’s program featured speakers on drainage litigation and resolution, dam ownership and responsibility, planning for drainage boards and more. Below is a full list of speakers and here is a link to the seminar materials:
Continuing education credits were sought for attorneys and surveyors who attended.
Indiana Farm Bureau believes that it takes education to be successful. To assist in the education process, INFB offers seminars on a variety of topics in addition to Drainage School. Some of the topics include estate and succession planning, campaign management, candidate surfacing and mineral rights.
