It’s 2019, which means it’s time to celebrate Indiana Farm Bureau’s 100th anniversary. All things Indiana Farm Bureau will see a touch of the centennial celebration this year, and the INFB Women’s Leadership Committee activities are no exception.
On March 8 at the Indianapolis Marriott East, the committee will host a red carpet gala in celebration of the past 100 years of INFB history. Each and every INFB member is invited to attend the gala, which will support INFB’s Carolyn Hegel Scholarship Fund. The fund grants scholarships for Indiana students pursuing careers in agriculture.
Friday night’s gala also will celebrate the rich history of women in Indiana agriculture over the past 100 years, highlighting women of influence in INFB’s history. Photos of INFB members from the past 100 years will decorate the gala, and guests will be able to take a walk through a timeline of INFB’s most memorable moments.
The evening will feature several special guests including Tyne Morgan, a national broadcast journalist and speaker with U.S. Farm Report.
Gala attendees will enjoy appetizers, live music and conversation with Farm Bureau members from all over the state. While the gala will feature a red carpet for INFB members, attire is flexible. Guests are welcome in whatever they feel most comfortable in – from farm to formal attire.
The gala is the evening before the 2019 Spring Conference, which is set to be a one-day event this year on Saturday, March 9. This year’s Spring Conference will feature Sherry Saylor, who chairs the American Farm Bureau Federation Women’s Leadership Committee.
Tickets to the gala are $50. Registration will open later this month.
