The Indiana Farm Bureau Young Farmer Committee has announced its new officers and district representatives.
The new district representatives, who were appointed by INFB President Randy Kron, will officially join the committee at the end of state convention on Dec. 9. They are:
Jake and Jill Smoker, District 1, LaPorte County; Ryan and Marie Hilton, District 3, Jasper County; Nick and Beth Tharp, District 5, Putnam County; Justin and Alli McKain, District 7, Sullivan County; and John and Abby Michel, District 9, Gibson County.
The officers for 2017-18, who were elected by the current members of the committee, are, pictured left to right, Vice Chair Andy Fix, Shelby County; Chair Aaron Chalfant, Randolph County and Secretary Nicole Branham, Jennings County.
Returning to the committee are Jeremy and Lindsay Barron, District 2, Noble County; Jacob and Natalie Slusher, District 4, Wells County; Aaron and Allison Chalfant, District 6, Randolph County; Andy and Katie Fix, District 8, Shelby County; and Matt and Nicole Branham, District 10, Jennings County.
Outgoing committee members Daniel and Kelly Snipes, Alan Duttlinger, Justin and Chelsea Mohler, Dwight and Tiffany Ludwig and Nick and Andrea Michel will be recognized at the 2018 Young Farmer Leadership Conference in January. To find out more about the conference, visit INFB’s website.
