Across the Corn Belt, rain is moving into central
Missouri Valley in advance of the western winter storm complex, and a mixture
of rain and snow lingers in the Ohio Valley and the northern Great Lakes
Region, further stalling fieldwork.
On the Plains, a wintry mix of precipitation will
intensify in amount and coverage throughout the day in northern parts of the
region, resulting in hazardous travel conditions and stress on livestock. A Blizzard
Warning is already in effect for parts of Wyoming, South Dakota, and Nebraska,
and some freezing rain is forecast for the middle Missouri Valley.
