President Trump has signed a
disaster declaration for parts of South Dakota.
The declaration allows for federal assistance to supplement state,
tribal, and local recovery efforts from severe storms and tornadoes that hit
the state in September.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency says assistance can include grants for temporary housing and home repairs, low-cost loans to cover uninsured property losses, and other programs to help individuals and business owners recover from the effects of the disaster, in addition to aid for local governments and non-profit groups.
