The 2019 harvest season has been a struggle for many farmers across the Midwest.
Steve Kuiper, who farms near Knoxville in south-central
Iowa, is among them.
“We’ve had some issues lately with mud. We’ve still got some
soybeans to cut and we’ve got a lot of corn to combine yet,” Kuiper says. “I’m
like everybody else—a little anxious about where we’re at.”
But Kuiper says they have been pleased with their yields
“Our beans are running lower to mid-60’s, on average.
