A member of the Senate Ag Committee is confident the 2018 Farm Bill can get done during the Lame Duck session of Congress.
“I do think it’s doable and realistic.”
And, Minnesota Democrat Tina Smith says the Senate version has the bipartisan support needed to move forward.
“Including good safety net programs, improvements in the Conservation program, and I’ve been working very hard on broadband.”
Minnesota Congressman and House Ag Committee Ranking Member Collin Peterson told Brownfield last week he and the other three principle leaders on the conference committee have set a goal of completing the 2018 Farm Bill by mid-November.
