A southwest Ohio farmer says his yields are better-than-average despite the challenging growing season.
First generation farmer Nathan Brown raises corn, soybeans, wheat and cattle.
“I’m going to say that our corn is probably going to be 10-15 percent above average,” he says. “We looked at a test plot recently that was 60-70 bushels better than anything we’ve ever raised.”
He tells Brownfield, with the use of fungicide, he had a 7 bushel-per-acre improvement in soybean yields this year.
